Exactly this. I know a lot of Perrin's story arc was changed for character development, but this bit was...it felt forced and icky.The love triangle was made worse by the fact that Perrin had just killed his wife.... and he's also mooning over a crush.... Just not very Perrin if you ask me.

My thoughts on Lan: the funeral scene was a chance to really contrast his usual stoic nature. That one place was where he could let out his grief while remaining stoic elsewhere.
