Who would rather see an animated series? I think there would be more potential in content and we wouldn't have to worry about casting. Just a thought?

The live action has its pros, too, but animated would be hugely awesome :D

I could imagine the details in them weiving the One Power. Each flow of Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Spirit detailed exceptionally! Of course in our day CGI could practically do the same.

In my opinion, there are just as many hurdles for an animated series as a normal one. First and foremost among them is writers and talent. It is the natural prerogative of writers to take whatever they are given and make it their own. I expect the writers to be creative and take some creative liberties This is what frightens me the most for any type of series. Talent (Actors or voice actors) that fit each and every character are very hard to find. Furthermore, sound engineers for animated series often fail to record the voice actor appropriately and it sounds like the voice is in a box (room). I have my Bachelor's in Digital Media Production. I may be paying far too close attention to the details but I can not help myself. It is in my nature to dissect any form of media I see.

I guess all I am trying to say is that it is unlikely for any type of series to get all the parameters right. I am on the fence as to whether or not a television series of any type is going to be a good thing. If you watch "Winter Dragon" (a poorly made pilot TV episode), you will see that the small things like production quality, attention to detail, and simply getting the actors to say names right make a huge difference.

TLDR: It is very hard to ensure that any media will be created in the way it should be due to industry standards and production. I want WoT to be transformed into all forms of media... but I worry that it will not be done to my high expectations.

Media never lives up to the written word and what we have imagined in our minds. Using Stephen King's IT as an example: I read the novel as a teenager and it became my favorite novel and still is to this day. Both the 90's mini series and the new adaptation both pale in comparison to how I imagined the world of the Losers' Club. As well as the cuts that have to be made and with the new adaptation, the timeline change from 50's/80's to 80's/present completely turned me off. So any form of WoT media in my opinion will never live up to Jordan's masterpiece.

I still think an animated version would be awesome though!

There would be some freedoms with animation, that is for sure. I do like anime and there are some animation styles that are incredible. Just hoping that regardless to the medium used to depict the world of WoT, that the heart of what makes it what it is manages to be retained.
