Now, this is a VERY new endeavor and I'm looking specifically people who love to BLOG, TUMBLR, FB... basically love social media and talking to people online or like to attend events. This is a new position, one that is dedicated to a more social experience outside of our community. While this position does require some travel, it is not meant to require someone to travel to events but to take advantage of those that attend events regularly in addition to the online aspect.
Note: Social Media is a pretty big weakness for me, so as a Director I am looking for people who are both excited to share things in person or online, and that are filled with idea's and willing to join me in putting a little work into this idea.
Social Marketing Team
Description
The Social Marketing Team (SMT) is responsible for marketing TarValon.Net to non-members (i.e. external marketing) through social media and other venues. The SMT will work with other staff on the site as needed, including the Graphics Development Team, the Tower Voices, the Department of Events and Conferences, and the Department of Community Outreach.

- Socializing and promoting TarValon.Net Inc at social events, such as DragonCon, JordanCon, etc. (This may include organizing a fansite table.)
- Engaging Individuals through social media such as Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Tumblr.. (Does not include subjects attributed to the Tower Voice duties.)
Expectations
- Must have been a member of TarValon.Net for at least 6 months. Open to any rank; citizen or above.
- Activity level: 5+ hours on the boards per week, ideally 5-10 hours. Please indicate your time availability in your application.
- Have an active desire to participate and attend social events, both Tower sanctioned or other. (i.e.. DragonCon, JordanCon)
- Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
