It is time once again to search for new Mods! Your term will be from October 2012 through March of 2013.

I am looking for 2 moderators for the Current Events forum. (pretty please, if you are the slightest bit interested, apply)

As a moderator of Current Events, you need to employ tact and diplomacy in your dealings with other members, you need to remain fair and approach all moderator dealings with as little bias as possible, and you need to commit to at least 15 hours a week dealing with moderating Current Events. This is definitely our most time-consuming moderator position and will likely require working more closely with me than others. We have two rotations in Current Events; both are 6 month terms but one rotates with all the rest of the moderators and the other two positions rotate 3 months later. (Kinda like mid-term elections)

Requirements
Membership in the Current Events usergroup is mandatory for this particular position.
I'm looking for 2 moderators for this forum. If you are interested, please email your application moderators@tarvalon.net and keeper@tarvalon.net by September 28th, 2012, with the subject line "APPLICATION - CE MOD - YOURNAMEHERE".

Thanks, and good luck!

I would like to apply, but 15 hours is a lot of time... is this a realistic reflection on the time commitment nowadays?

If he doesn't answer here, I'd pose this question to Kelgan, as he's been a very active moderator in that forum for a few turns now. :)

If you already read everything in the forum, no, you're looking at between 15 mins and 1-2 hours in a week (and more than 15 mins is unusual unless you need to have a chat with someone about their posting behavior - doesn't happen too often, actually). If you don't already read CE at all, look to spend 10-20 hours per week depending on how busy the forum is.
