We are now hiring for the Spring Rotation for Moderators and Operators! This team is under the jurisdiction of the Cordamora and reports to the Head Moderator. The term is for 6 months and will start June 1, 2023 and run through Nov 30, 2024. This is a Staff position and earns time towards the Staff Merit.
We have quite a few moderators and operators who love their positions, and so we aren’t hurting for people... however.... If you have a passion for the community and want to help us grow closer together and build trust, we’d love to have you on the team!
Forum Moderators
Requirements to be a Moderator or Operator are as follows:
Moderators are responsible for periodically checking the forums to ensure everything is running smoothly. Moderators are not expected to read every single thread, rather they should be generally aware of forum activity. They will also be responsible for alerting the Head Moderator should a conflict or issue arise, for handling reported posts within their forums, and working with the other Moderators and Operators as well as the Head Moderator to resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise.
Discord Operators
Discord Operators are responsible for moderating the Tower Discord server, enforcing Tower policies, defusing flare-ups that may occur between members, assigning roles to new members, and helping with Discord-related questions. You will receive training, and your fellow Discord Ops will always be available to help, so experience with Discord’s moderation tools is NOT necessary.

Forum Moderators

- You must be a member for at least 3 months.
- You must log in to the boards (Mods) or Discord (Ops) daily to check for notifications, and be reasonably active outside of that.
- You must possess tact and discretion.
- You must be willing and able to set aside any issues you may have with others on the Tower, and learn to put yourself in another’s shoes.
- You must be willing to learn how to use Xenforo/discord moderation actions
- You must be willing to turn on 2-factor authentication on your forum and/or Discord account(s) for the duration of your service.
- You must unblock all Tower users on Discord, and/or remove all users from “ignore” on the forums for the duration of your service.
