The trailer was pretty exciting!:joy I can't wait for the series.mg But the Myrddraal being similar to the Dementors in Harry Potter doesn't seem to be pretty. As if the Nazgul style from Lord of The Rings could be better. :scratch
I watched it, then watched it again with lots of pauses, and will probably keep watching it again and again over the next few days.
Thoughts with book spoilers:
Is the pool of water Egwene's initiation into the Tower? Looks like it based on the colors.
That tower is physically HUGE. Some of the buildings in teh city are already pretty large (domes on the left-hand side for example) and that thing just dwarfs them all. And yay for Dragonmount in the background!
Anyone else notice no shawls or stoles in the Hall? Although you can tell what Ajah they are by their clothes 100%. Siuan's outfit definitely looks queenly. And now on my third re-watch I can see the inside of her collar has the colored stripes.
Looks like channeling isn't gonna be color coded for the five Powers, but I'm okay with it.
In the scene where the Green protects the group from arrows, Lan is totally protecting Nynaeve!
Another angle of the Tower showing how monstrous it is, plus getting a look at a couple of bridges with towns.
I think there might be a city in the background when (two characters) are on the mountainside. Not Tar Valon b/c no Tower. Shadar Logoth?
Speaking of, look at that darkness spread over the city!
Who's the dude in the cage peppered with arrows next to Mat?
Yay for Perrin and the wolves!
Ooh, Egwene and Rand getting some naked time. I think that'll help emphasize the loss of the relationship later on.
That's a lot of corpses.
Did Logain escape in the trailer? Looks like he blasted his captors backwards at any rate.
As Moiraine is leaving the Hall of the Tower, the Brown sisters' backs are turned. Looks like she gets in trouble.
The trollocs and myrdrall look appropriately bestial
