3 ladies chasing Rand. Instead, Min goes after Mat and Avienda goes after Perrin? (Leaving Elayne for Rand?). Gotta admit that I kinda like this pairing. It eliminates the Faile arc; and possibly the Tuon arc (which I loved). The Dragon and his 3 ladies arc (in the books) always seemed off, albeit a bit of literary genius

I assumed it was just more bait-and-switch, like keeping viewers guessing on who would be the Dragon in S1, except this time it's with who's going to end up with who.
