well his wife referred to it as his castle, but the actual pictures of it are more like a modern home crossed with victorian crossed with medieval castle subtle elements... I don't know how to describe it... and the design isn't final yet anyway, and they even admitted its probably like a decade away.

but yes, as someone who has seen every Brandon podcast, I can confirm his ego could probably use a slight decrease. sometimes he says things that seem out of touch to me, but overall he is still the Brandon I enjoy.

I saw a post on Facebook that you can pre-order signed editions of Wind and Truth from certain retailers. Barnes & Noble doesn't up-charge on signed editions, and they are selling those. (Because of rewards and membership, I got mine for $28 with free shipping. )

Been waiting for this arc to be completed. I have all 5 on audible now, so I think I am going to start it up! If I binge, I should finish book 4 around the time book 5 launches, or not too long after that anyway. I am going to try and listen at 1.5x speed... not sure if that will ruin the audible experience or not... hmm

Really late to this party, but I've read through RoW's first quarter at least three times and it has felt so...boring.

Yeah, my reread of RoW has been me trying to make it through the reread posts on reactor.com, as those also come with... explanations I sorely need. But there is so much of... nothing happening in the first third of the book, and then there is action, then a long pause with too much science I don't understand and focus on characters I don't care about, like Venli, then the usual Sanderlanche using the science I don't really understand...

I hope this next book makes it all a bit clearer.

I'm a real book reader at heart.

But I've got heaps of listening done in the car, or early morning dozing in bed or some crap on top of my normal reading

so I'm enjoying it a lot


Been listening to the Graphic Audio versions, which is heaps of fun


I especially like the Narrator for the early Stormlight, I could listen to his voice forever.
