If we wouldn't have scared him off with the living raising I'm pretty sure he would have been terrified anyway once the balefire started coming out so in reality it's probably best that he ran away earlier.

Thanks Em! It was pretty neat getting raised live! The people running the party planned the raising as a surprise so I had no prep for the test, but I passed! The Mistress of Novices was on Skype from Canada! I wish you could have been there, it would have been even better! I need to come back down to Dallas!
