After consultation with our current Unaffiliated Tower Sworn about how to make their experience better, we are making a few minor changes.
The main change will be to their rights as Bondmates. As intended, UTS will maintain their Bonds upon un-affiliating. As a critical piece of the UTS abbreviation includes Tower Sworn these members have already been approved by the Hall and received all the benefits that come with this rank, as such they will retain all their rights as a Bondmate (access to the Sitting Room or Great Room of their Affiliated Bondmate) and be available to establish new Bonds up to the two that the majority of Tower Sworn receive (with the exception being those who have earned the extra bond through merits). Forming new Bonds will come with the usual access to Sitting/Great Rooms.
The second change is that UTS will be eligible to become Invited Guests to any membership group that extends such and invitation.
Our UTS have two main branches, members who have left their membership group and are Guesting to find a new home, and members who intend to remain Unaffiliated and do not wish to join another group. Our longterm and permanent UTS have expressed a disinterest in joining a group or being a group in their own right. Since they do not wish to be a formalized membership group with a membership admin outside of the DoMem, we will not be making any changes to that at this point in time.
