Brandon Sanderson 2020 Lecture video series

Not sure how many of you know this, but Brandon is posting this years 2020 Brigham-Young University (he has been a professor there for 20 years) on YouTube. The audio quality is much better than in years past when I watched this series.

Here is a funny clip he is referencing his relationship with his wife and daydreaming about Stormlight Archive, lot of little funny stories like this if you are interested watching. Edit: Brandon Sanderson is also active on this Podcast, which has 12 seasons so far, and everything is free to download from the looks of it! It's called Writing Excuses. He is not on every episode, but he does a lot of it I guess, the Google page for it shows him as one one of the founders alongside a few other authors.

You're welcome, there should be a new lecture posted every week! I can't promise I will edit and add them in to original post, I was mainly just sharing to bring people's attention to the lectures. I imagine a lot of people here would be interested in this. Honestly it's not like a typical lecture, looks to be quite a lot of fun little stories Brandon shares about his own personal experiences in life, etc.

I think it is so awesome this age of YouTube where we can really connect with our favorite artists. Like seeing Brandon with his parrot, or talk about his family and hobbies. It's so cool to me, all these Live Q and A sessions.

Yeah, some things are more fun to watch Live, lol... like Jim Halpert says in The Office. You can still watch the recording of it, still neat, but it is more energetic for some reason when you know it is Live. I'm not sure why that is. Maybe because it feels like there is an actual human connection even if its still just video? Technically it is, because some of the random comments are chosen to be answered, so yeah that does make sense.

Glad you enjoyed it Sorcha Sedai! I had no idea pet parrots had the misbehavior level of a child, adorable. You can tell he is bugging Brandon on purpose, lol
