Perhaps it's not really Healing? It's breaking the link with the taint of the Shadar Logoth dagger. Suian has minimal ability in Healing. I did note on that page the identity of 7 of the Aes Sedai (just changed form 8 as Verin was in there twice) and asked why it was those that were chosen. How do they even know the weave for breaking the link with an ancient evil?
Also, why 10? That isn't a full circle

I always figured they were the ones that was the strongest in the Power, as they would need every ounce they could get. I mean, they even brought one of the strongest sa'angreal they had...

Suian was one of the strongest, but Serafelle was one of the weaker ones. Most of them though, are in the "pretty strong" group

Maybe the strongest ones present in the Tower at the time that could be trusted with such a task.

They definitely comment on that. I forget if it's in this book, and not really a spoiler, but comment is made that the only Ajah who really tests themselves at channeling against other Channelers are the Reds, since they're the cops.
