Um, not quite sure what to say, or if I plan to be a regular here or not, but I am obsessed with the Wheel of Time and everything therein, so I hope that counts for something. My online name everywhere is Kalez, or my pseudonym, Kal S. Davian. I am an author of two self-published short stories, myself, as well as a massive series to come, which I wont share unless someone asks to avoid spamming on my very first post. But I will say that Robert Jordan has had a huge influence on myself, my writing, and my own stories. It makes me very sad that I will never get the chance to meet him one day and tell him so to his face. Sure, there is always Brandon, but he wasn't the influence. No offense to him or anything. I think it is a grand thing he has done, and I thank him for it, but he will never be Jordan. Anyway, I think I've said enough to give you guys all a clue as to who I am. I await your responses :P

Thanks! Yeah, it is a hard toss up between which is my favorite character, but I would definitely lean toward Mat, thus the title :P

Similar to WoT in the sense that they are medieval with a futuristic past, but that is about as far as the likeness goes. It is a world where the gods took an interactive role in the development of civilization itself, until they started to disagree, and the world changed. I am starting out telling shorter lore stories while I perfect my writing before I move on to my much larger planned novels, which go well beyond the boundaries of the planet itself, starting out from a medieval setting. The first is about a historian who find an inconsistency with some historical documents, acting as an introduction to the world, and the next is about a man who was born cursed, which relates to the inconsistencies the historian found. I am currently writing two books about the workings of the "magic", one set in the past and one set in the future, and the 5th one I have planned will delve into the workings of the gods themselves, and reveal their true nature and how they function. It all has me very excited and I cannot write fast enough... which the unfortunate irony is that I am a very slow writer, lol. I could go on, but I will stop there for now.

I think the biggest parts of WoT that I enjoy are the whole history and future workings of the world itself. The visions from Rhuidean I find to be especially interesting. I also have to refrain myself from shaping my own magic to mirror weaving :P He has done so much with the way weaving works, and there is still so much we have not seen but is only hinted at. Such a shame that we may never read about it.

I added your Kindle stories to my amazon wishlist. They sound interesting and I definitely plan on reading them. My to-read list is growing daily (and it doesn't help that the audiobook I'm listening to now is about someone obsessed with scifi and she constantly talks about all the books she's reading and how awesome they are...), but I will get to them eventually!

Well, to be honest, a lot more once you become a citizen. Partly to reduce spam, you're pretty limited on which areas you can see until you do. You only need 25 posts, though, and then you can apply. For now, just poke around in the forums you can see until you get 25 posts. Once you become a citizen, you'll get access to more areas of the site which tend to be more active than the public ones.
