I totally agree with you! While I won't be able to stay awake to read through the night, I won't be able to pace myself and read it slowly. I will be to impatient for the end!

I'm exactly the same, though there is no freaking way I can finish a big book in six hours. When Towers of Midnight came out, it took me three days of non-stop reading. I forgot to eat, and only slept when my eyes wouldn't stay open any longer.

That's what I'll be doing...with most books, I read them as fast as I can, then wait a few days for it to process, then re-read them more slowly to savor each page. I'm too impatient for savoring the first time around!

I'm hoping to finish my re-read before the new book comes out. If I don't, my plan is to hold off until I *do* finish the re-read.

But you know what they say about best laid plans.....

Haha, if you're already saying that now, there's no way you'll be waiting. :P

I was working overnights when Deathly Hallows came out. I sent my cousin to pick it up for me at midnight. She brought it to me at work and I read bits of it when I could steal a moment or two, and when I got off work at 8 am, I read it on the way home and stayed up into the afternoon to finish it. When the last two WoT books came out, I ordered them online, and I was the same way with them. Only my kids could drag me away, and I suspect that it will be the same way for this last one.

Deadly Hallows came and went in a single day.

AMOL will probably take a bit longer, but I won't be putting it down much.

I'll have to wait probably a week after it comes out to get it and I know I definitely won't be reading it slowly. I envision myself spending every moment of free time reading it until I'm done!

I did the same with Deathly Hallows. Although it took me 2 days to get through.

I was at an anime convention when Deathly Hallows came out. I stayed up all night in the hotel to finish it, which turned out to be wise because the next day at the con there were dummyheads who had just read the ending and were yelling it at anyone carrying a book, trying to spoil it. :x At least we're not likely to have THAT problem.

We had a great time spoiling THEIR fun by replying "already finished it!" :giggle

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way! :D

And that's the nice thing about the boards here - if you don't want to read spoilers, they're not right in your face, and you can finish the book however you want without worrying about someone ruining the ending.

I remember being at a music festival and a guy had a shirt on that said "Page 556, Dumbledore dies!" on it!!!
