Xylina - in years past, yes, OE had a few Ops on the team. (they were both affiliated both with OE and Dept of Mods) so that rules were enforced with consistency, and any issues that might come up were reported timely and appropriately.

Will the education + employment forum be restricted to only employment issues and/or questions about one's education (i.e. which college should I attend), or will it have discussions related to education and the issues with education (i.e. NCLB SUCKS AND THIS IS WHY) ?

Can we have NCLB sucks in CE? Can we have some T & M overlap in H & G? Ops wise, at least? With entertainment & home improvement in the walls n flowers forum, there could be some overlapping interests.

I always hired folks that I thought were WAY smarter than me & gave them full credit for work. They stayed motivated & I remained none too surprisingly smart for having hired them. Looking forward to the job stuff cos I've been too lazy to gain access; but I'm nosy. :shifty

During the introductory period we're gonna see where the topics take us...then if we need a bit of tweaking come July or January we can do that too! For now, put topics where you feel they best fit and we'll go from there :P

In addition, these shifts are going to make tv.net seem more friendly to new members. There will be less pressure to *join* and be in the tower, leaving citizens and non-citizens free to adjust to our community at their leisure. It seems like they will be able to, with the broader and more accessible forums, see the value of becoming part of the Tower more for it's merits and less as a necessity to feel included. And the more new folks means the more members there are to donate to our good causes so :whee to that!
