Lan is my favorite character. I have yet to watch the series, so hoping they have done his character well.

My son does voice acting. Right now does his own projects, but is hoping to make a career of it.

Thank you, Dar'Jen Gaidin! If you end up watching the series, I hope you'll find that they did Lan justice. He's my favorite right now based on the show alone. Very cool that your son is into voice acting as well! It sounds like he and I are in the same boat. It takes a lot to turn it into a career, but I think the journey is well worth it so far.

I prefer tea, though I'll get into coffee if I have a headache sometimes. Trying to avoid a ton of caffeine for health reasons. I love a good rooibos with honey or sugar (depending on the flavor) and a healthy splash of milk

I love rooibos! It's cousin, honeybush, is lovely too (it's a little sweeter and less earthy) and they're both fantastic to chuck in a thermos because they don't go bitter like some teas no matter how long you steep them for.

It is so good to see others joining because of the show, and I personally welcome another tea-loving, D&D playing, musician type! I hear you about the getting distracted and forgetting you have a pot on, it's probably while I'll end up a Brown even though I'm being pulled in the direction of both Blue and Yellow.

The forums open up even wider once you become a Citizen, and our incredible Mayor Aintza Bisera; who has already commented here; can answer questions you might have about becoming a Citizen after you read the Membership Manual. I know personally, it was Mayor Aintza and Luna Sedai who pushed me to taking the plunge into Citizenship sooner rather than later just because I wanted to get to know everyone better! There are so many good people here, and if you haven't already I suggest you speak with Luna Morn Sedai, as she is our Mistress of Novices and Recruits; next step on the path if you want to become Aes Sedai; and just in general a lovely human being.

The wiki has articles on everything on the site as I'm sure you already know, and a lot of us are open to questions publicly and privately.

Neighboring state unfortunately, over in AZ~ I have regrettably not met anyone else who lives in my city yet, but hope springs eternal. Glad to hear you're considering citizenship! It really does make this place seem even larger, and there's so much more to read!

There are more first time readers but they may be a bit quiet

I have yet to meet anyone who doesn't like Lan, reader or non-reader, lol. And yep, definitely one of my favourites along with Nynaeve, Moiraine and Siuan. And Rand tbh. Nynaeve reigns supreme though.

I love hearing non-reader's thoughts on the show a lot more than other book reader's tbh so please share while you still count as one!

I also love rooibos and can't do coffeine anymore. Not a fan of traditional tea leaves so I am happy rooibos exists. I obviously has to use a insulated mug as I am Brown :brown_bunny I still drink cold tea/decaf but I do my best to avoid it. Especially now during winter as I certainly don't live in a desert

I began reading this thread, you see, and your introduction post alone made me so excited to welcome you - I mean... tea, music, voice acting, books, writing, and all of it wrapped up in such a great first post? What more could we want? And then I scroll through the rest of the thread and see all of that quoted above. I have been summoned in more ways than one, it seems.

Like it's been said above, I don't think anyone ever really dislikes Lan. He's a stand up guy.

My favorite through the series is actually usually Rand. People give him a hard time, but I like him. Though Perrin was up there on my list during my last re-read. Egwene's journey is still probably my favorite overall story line, though.

Someone asked who your favorite character is, but which character is the one you're the most curious about?
