Hi! I am Bricta. Please enjoy these sentences that I have concocted half way through my morning coffee.
Who is your favorite character in The Wheel of Time and why?
I'm currently doing a re-read of the first few books and so far my favorite character is Perrin. Not only because I can't remember the names of any others, but he is the most grounded and annoys me the least.
How did you find TarValon.Net?
I actually had heard about this place a long time ago at another forum I frequented for a different series. As I mentioned before, I'm re-reading the first few books. The furthest I have made it in the series is book 3 or 4, but I want to finish. So much time has passed since I was originally reading, that I need to start from the beginning because I can't remember what was happening. The faint memory of the name of this place was bouncing around in my head, so I figured why not join in hopes of keeping up my momentum to get all the way through the books.
What do you do? (student? job? hobbies?)
I work at a grocery store, but my passion is fiber arts. I knit, spin, crochet, and dabble in anything I can get my mitts on.
Where are you from? What languages do you speak?
I am from Maine, USA. I speak english primarily. I also have a working knowledge of German and Russian left over from when I studied in university, and a little bit of Spanish. I am a huge language nerd. If I could knit, read, and learn languages as my day job I 100% would.
Have you seen Wheel of Time on Prime? Did you enjoy the show?
I have watched 20 minutes of episode 1. A coworker who has read the series mentioned that they move pretty quickly through some of the books in the first season and I didn't want any spoilers. Again-- another motivator to get the series finished.
What is your favorite book or author other than Robert Jordan and The Wheel of Time?
I love Brandon Sanderson so much. His work always pulls me in and there is always a secret or mystery to be solved.
