Students that turn the sound off on their devices and look like they're attending your Zoom class but not participating... /ABSENT
I was in a Zoom meeting for a Master's level class today and at least 70% of the students had their cameras off. I really hope those same people aren't annoyed at -their students- (most of the people taking the class are teachers) for keeping cameras off...I find it kinda disrespectful, to be honest, especially from adults.
My district has a policy that all cameras must stay on. So if a student turns it off, we request that they turn it on, and if it becomes an issue we let admin know. Same goes for faculty meetings. But I understand why -- even with cameras on, kids are laying in bed, or going to McDonalds and zooming from their phone, and...yeah. It's difficult for everyone.

I've had Covid twice so far, thanks to work/Dad's work the second time. it was brutal both times. Praying to God I get the vaccine before I get it the third time.
