Watching Netflix/Disney/Hulu/HBO together

If you haven't heard of it yet, there's a free service called Netflix Party that syncs the show/movie so people can watch it together. The only "catch" is that you have to have an account for the platform that you are watching on (so if you're watching the Mandalorian then everyone watching needs access to a Disney+ account). This is something we plan to use for future discord movie events, so we can watch AND have voice chat for those who want to play along!

Thought I'd share it for those of you who'd be interested in this.

I wonder how this will work with different shows/movies being available in different regions.

I suppose it will just have to be available in each region that wants to watch.

Pretty sure Clue was just streamed via Discord. That doesn't require everyone to have a service or a license; it just means 1 person is streaming to everyone else. That's what I thought you meant by your Eurovision event, @Aintza Bisera.

Perhaps, going forward, distinguish which service (if any) people need to be subscribed to in order to participate in a Discord viewing party? (i.e. Discord/Netflix Party for XYZ)

Yeah I was just worried about copyright issues streaming directly from Discord. And definitely going forward.

It was my first one so mistakes were made and lessons learned.
