What foreshadowings have you noticed?
Including for much later books.
So major spoilers are expected in this thread.
Here are some I've noted (not personally of course, with help):
Mat's Ashandarei
(S02E08)
Mat makes a "quarterstaff"
Then Mat makes it an Ashanderei-like by tying the ruby dagger to it.
This seems clear foreshadowing for the real thing (likely) next season :
thus is our treaty written; thus is agreement made.
thought is the arrow of time; memory never fades.
what was asked is given; the price is paid
Mat uses it to make a doorway to escape a room
(S02E08)
Also, Mat saying "I've learned there's usually more than one way out of them"
A good lesson for the future.
Lanfear throws Moiraine through a magical doorway
(S02E08)
Karma is a ...
On top of Mountains
(S02E04)
Rand a few times is going to the top of mountains (or hills) to self-reflect. There were one at least in Season 1.
In Episode 4 we have his monologue with Selene overlooking the clifftop about how seeing the world from so far up helps him see how everything fits together in the bigger picture. Hmm Veins of Gold anyone?
Missing eye
(S02E03)
When Mat is 'dead' in the last Nyneave archway, he is missing an eye.
Hanged
(S02E07)
We see Mat hanged from a rope in the mirror in one of the "past" visions
Cleansing
(S0201 , S0208)
Of course Rand’s wound.
But in the first episode, we also have the carefully shown “water filtration” weave ...
