Yep, it's a matter of taste. IMO Sanderson is a good writer, so anything by him is good. I liked Warbreaker but not as much as the other ones (including Elantris :p)
Yeah, I've read the free version too. It was a good book but from Sanderson's work it's my least favorite.
And can't do a Mistborn co-re-read, my books are in Finland. :(
I know many people don't like the ending of Mistborn. I loved it, but can't really remember why. Probably because it - like Arec said - caught me off guard too. Should re-read the series sometime soon. ^^
Midian, the Way of Kings is the first book of Stormlight Archive series. Alloy of Law is a Mistborn book set in the same world but some hundred (or thousand, I don't remember) years after the ending of the Hero of Ages.
Sandriel, I think you should read it - you'll meet an old acquaintance in...

Thank you Vealdan! Now I remember too. Oh, that'd be so cool, more Mistborn books! But yeah I think it'd be waste to not use the already created world + the great magic system ever again.
[spoiler:1osvzjak]It's really weird, I can't remember about Marsh either, even though I found him the most interesting of the characters in the series. I thought Vin killed him, but don't really remember now. :scratch And my copies of the books are in Finland. Anyway, Marsh was my favourite...
Actually, I dare to say this even though I'll sound a bit like an old whiny aunt (well I'm almost middle aged, and an aunt too :cheese ) but I think it's a good thing when violence in the books digusts the reader. Violence is disgusting, and imo it shouldn't be written too offhand or...
