Per the Library, "They do not have a channeling case and if they ever find any girl among them with the ability to channel, they immediately set off for Tar Valon to deliver her (NS, Ch. 3)".
I'm with Axis. It would still be nice if someone tried. The "flaw beyond that" is what I'd most like to understand, as it's what would leave Rand open & vulnerable.
From our Library, "Rand draws Callandor and kills Ba'alzamon by plunging it into his chest. During this fight it apparently protects him from balefire (TDR, Ch. 55) ".
You're right.
Long shot wild theory: Maybe the "flaw beyond that" is the binding him by twain (circle of 2 women) and him unable to seize control of the circle/Callandor. Maybe only one of the women can control it at that point...that would certainly leave him weak, open to attack. No offense to us...
So, let me get this straight. Are y'all suggesting that Callandor was used to create the pool of untainted saidin (I'm doubtful of this) & could hold the key to defeating the Dark One? I wonder if it would have been powerful enough to cleanse saidin...At this point though, I guess it's really...

As for others, please keep spoilers in the appropriate threads.
For the prologue, go here...
Kitan, try this thread. The title mentions excerpts and spoilers, so I think you should be covered.

or this one mentions the prologue specifically & also about spoilers...
I think the truth was that the Dark One was not sealed for all eternity by the Creator at the moment of creation, and the catechism that's recited in that regard is the lie.
The Wolf King is mentioned in the dark prophecies. Ishamael was fully aware of the Essanik Cycle. In fact, there's a strong possibility that he corrupted them as councilor to Hawkwing.
