The only part of Texas I'd be driving through is the panhandle, so if you could meet me in Amarillo or OKC, I could grab you! I could also conceivably take a route that swings me just north of Dallas if that's where you're closer to, but it would add about an hour to the drive.

I've gotta plan ahead, too, so I am hopeful for some more info soon ^^ If I'm able to fly in, I'd love to coordinate a carpool with someone from the airport. If I make the drive from New Mexico instead, I could conceivably pick a few people up along the way if needed!
