Another that upset me a bit - at least, made me pause in my reading - was Romanda. She wasn't the most likeable character, but she was always there, and having her die so suddenly, almost as an afterthought, was tragic.

Even though you could see Egwene's coming from a mile away, I just sat there saying no no no no no in my head the entire time - I didn't want her to die!! :( So yeah, it wasn't sudden or anything, but it still made me so sad. Siuan's got me really upset, too, as she was another of my favorites...
