A Crown of Swords is one of my favourites, mostly because of the Kin. Yes, she is a curious one, Verin. One of my fave characters. The extent of her curiosity is quite astounding toward the end of the series!

I recall wondering about that myself, actually . . . but I really don't know. Maybe I'll look for clues in my next reread. If I remember to look anyway :lol
