My honest guess is that they made an update to swiftkey to help its predictive nature, and it didn't play well with some RTEs. We haven't touched the XenForo software in a while. ETA: It's likely they'll update again to fix it, if they haven't already, because I doubt this is the only place...

Unfortunately, short of replacing the text editor on XenForo, that's basically the only thing we can do on this side, and I have no guarantees that any replacement would fare better, especially since others have seen similar issues elsewhere, and I don't have the hands to test all the keyboard...

TLDR: both the keyboard and the boards are trying to help you type and they trip on each other.
