Epiphany about Min and Elayne: They are essentially walk on parts in EOTW that the casting department may be waiting on casting until they are major players (we don't really meet Elayne until Egwene gets to the Tower). Yes, they get introduced in EOTW but they don't become major characters...

Min is important to the story and was likely written in as a plot device. I would expect a character like Loial or Gawyn or Galad to be axed before Min is. We also have not yet been told who Siuan or Tuon are going to be portrayed by, so they may be waiting to do a bunch of minor major...
