I didn't expect a ton of deaths because well... healing. Anything short of death can and will be healed. I imagine that the important people in the book got top priority, such as Perrin. Basically the ones that happened were due to close close combat or freak accidents.
I think considering how he "Holds back" as it was so lovingly pointed out in this book, he needs someone who can control him if he decides to let go and lose his temper. Faile is the perfect match for him. I didn't like her in the start, when we first met her. Childish, manipulative, etc. But...
I was so thankful she lived. They've had no peaceful time together, not really. They deserve it. They deserve their little babies and Two Rivers and being wonderful together. Yes.
I think what upset me the most about Rhuarc's death is that it wasn't honorable, so he gained no Ji when he woke from the dream. Obviously, he had no choice in the matter but thats the way my mind worked it. Just now ha.
Which death threw you for a loop? Shocked the hell out of you? Broke your heart? Which death did you cheer? Which did you secretly wish for and then was sad when it never came?
