Hijacking my own thread (YES MY LEGACY WILL LIVE ON FOREVER!) to say this forum software has been so much F-ING better than vBulletin, all hail Mendo the Wise and Mostly Attractive :bow
The forum software doesn't check words or anything, it just replaces any smiley codes it sees with the appropriate image.
When making a post, if you go to advanced mode, under the post beside "Miscellaneous options" there's a setting called "Disable smilies in text". Check that and it will...
Yeah, we had a short unexpected downtime due to some work on this ongoing issue. I resolved it at about 9:05am EST. It would have been a lot earlier had I not needed to get to work for a meeting :\
Thanks for the heads up, though!
It's a known issue that appears to have sprouted when we attempted to enable HTTPS and now won't go away. It's pervasive throughout the site when HTTPS is enabled, but I don't know how or why it's doing this on HTTP... I'm currently working (again) with some VB support staff on these issues, so...
The "Warning: Declaration of vBForum_Item_SocialGroupMessage::getLoadQuery() should be compatible with that of vB_Model::getLoadQuery()" and the "Warning: Only variables should be passed by reference in ..../newreply.php on line 389" should be fixed now (I had to apply some manual bug patches)...
BTW guys, I am not ignoring these reports. I do appreciate them, I just haven't been able to dedicate time to tracking them down. I will be doing so soon, hopefully. :smooch
That "Leave page" is what happens when the website tries to stop you from navigating away -- in the case, my posting a new thread (navigating to another request within the same site). vBulletin is doing this erroneously. This is the issue we've experienced since our issues several weeks ago. Can...
Can you try unsubscribing to them, and the subscribing again? Also note that vBulletin has delayed email messages, sometimes 30min to and hour, so you may notice the forum updated before it actually notifies you. Also check your spam box. I'm not sure if you subscribe for email updates if the...
Okay, in the forum, choose "Forum Tools" > "Subscribe to this Forum" and then pick the setting you want. I go with "In my control panel only", which shows up on that page I linked earlier. You can also set it for daily or weekly emails. Try that.
Try going into your subscriptions and/or settings and checking how the thread is subscribed. If it says "my control panel" then it's only going to show up in your subscriptions page on the forums, not email.
Gah, I've been recieving some random weirdness like that since the failed HTTPS issue. I assume you're using http://, have cleared browser cache since then? :/
