I like them, too. I think she falls quick bc he's kind to her and one of the first things he says to her is against how nobles treat the Skaa. Impressionable young girls eat that stuff up.

I finished Chapter 12 yesterday morning (back to tSR this morning :giggle) and I had forgotten how... gruesome some of this story is.
Fantasy books in general can be very gory (at least in my opinion) and I tend to skim those parts bc I don't like that.... But yay for Audiobooks and listening...
