In the campaigns I've been a part of, lore like the Cycle gets handed out as bonus rewards (we asked good questions of an NPC, we rolled well on investigate, etc). I'd just be hand-wavy about it and share pieces of the cycle that did fit what I was doing and be very Aes Sedai about the rest.
