I completely agree about Ingtar, on reread it's very obvious that he's the one in the prologue. This still makes me sad, to be honest, because I've always enjoyed this character and his fervor, even though it's misplaced.

It's so hard to choose because everything he writes is sublime, but I think my top two are Neverwhere and The Graveyard Book. Sandman is in a category of awesome all its own.
