With Loial going off to speak against his mother, I thought there might be more about what happened in the steddings. Was there mention of the stump in AMoL or just the few short sentences that I remember in italics every so often. I think that would have been a great debate to witness......

Well, the Ogier showed up right after the meeting on Merrilor, and then we at least learned that Loial's view won out :cheeseeni:

Yeah the Book of Translation was a big one I wanted to hear more on. What is it? Where did it come from? Who wrote it? These seem like things that Lioal would know!

Is that Celtic with Arda???? I can't take it all.

There is so much, isn't there? I just want the series to go on and on--more like a series of series--with a conclusion like we've had, but a new beginning, ya' know, the Wheel Turns...but Harriet said...that RJ said...., so...

I don't blame them, almost every shared universe sucks ass, like the Star Wars books.

Some of the Star Wars books weren't bad. It's sad though, because so little is known of the Ogier and they were such a big part of the AOL.

I would have liked to read this scene and learn more about the Book of Translation in particular.

The Book of Translation is so fascinating! It's a ter'angreal, probably... But where would they go? An alt dimension, like the one the portal stones serve as a bridge, or somewhere else entirely? And if we go with the theory that Randland is the history/future of our world, then our age probably happened after ogiers use the book...

My guess is that they would be removed from this time, this age, and moved (or reborn?) into a different age. This explains why there aren't any Ogiers today (assuming that our world and time is included as one of the ages of the wheel, as many believe).
