There's not a whole lot of source material there, but I'd watch it, if it does come to fruition. But you're right. It doesn't sound likely.

I saw stuff about that this morning. I would agree, it seems a little premature with the show not being released yet, but maybe they're hoping the show would give it momentum/a following?

Well, Song of Ice and Fire eventually got a prequel series, but that came after the success.
For all I can see, this is one person writing a speculative script (or claiming he is going to), with no input from Team Jordan, or the makers of the show (who may or may not have general rights to shows set in that world)
