I think you are correct in that the souls hit by balefire get reborn again into the world just like any other soul. Sure, they cannot be brought back by the Dark One with his transmigration, but they are still available to the general pool to be born again at some future time as someone's baby...

I'm not so sure. I think that the world is tired of war at present. Plus with such a shortage of food, currently.... many people will be struggling just to survive until the next harvest. Finding seeds just so that a next harvest happens will also be critical.

I don't think so. I think the memories that you're referring to are Lews Therin's memories. Rand didn't have memories from his every incarnation as the Dragon throughout all of eternity.

Re: Rand's new body Maybe I missed something, but how in the heck did Rand get to switch bodies with Moridin? I know that they were connected via the Balefire, but I don't see how this occurred exactly. Any ideas? Did Alivia do something to facilitate it at all?

I always felt like it was referring to the seed songs sung by the Aiel. They would sing, and the Ogier would sing a separate song, and the Nym would dance in sort of a growing ceremony back in the Age of Legends.

I've always felt that a band of tinkers would eventually enter the waste and visit Rhuidian after Rand had opened it up. They do have Aiel blood, so they could still use the columns if they still work that is.
