Okay, actually, I like having two ages between ours and the Age of Legends. Analiese's theory is awesome. Although I feel saddened by the fact that the age after the last battle is the end of channeling (until it comes again ;) ) in this theory...
I think this is probably the best answer. There would need to be an age between ours and the AoL. A time period when channeling is new and it's discovery throws everything we know into a weird place.
I don't mean to get all personal and stuff...
But when I was in high school, I was raped... years later he was murdered. I was sad. I was also confused by my sadness... It doesn't mean it wasn't rape just because I was sad he was murdered...
I totally agree. During my most recent reread, I was disgusted with her treatment of Mat. And how everyone knew it was going on and thought it was funny... so wrong!
I love Egwene, and I honestly think Gawyn was the worst thing to ever happen to her. Their relationship reminds me of a horrible relationship I had in high school... I thought I was in love, but really the guy was just a useless idiot who only cared about himself and his ego... But of course, I...
I also read Elantris as soon as I found out BS would be finished WoT. I loooved it, but I think I would actually suggest to read Warbreaker first. It is a wonderful introduction to the awesome/wonderful magic systems that BS comes up with. And after reading those two, I would go with Mistborn...
I am rereading right now for the first time since reading AMoL and I have already cried so many times and I am only on Winter's Heart! I'm pretty sure I'm going to weep for the entire last book...... lol
I would definitely read that.
It's actually kind of funny... I didn't care much for Verin until I found out she was black ajah and a double agent. Then she became one of my favourites and upon rereading the earlier books, I liked and paid more attention to her.
As for why she didn't tell...
I agree with this list for sure. Amathera aka Thera... Ugh.
But I would add Gawyn Trakand to the list... He irritates the heck out of me...
Most characters have redeeming qualities or storylines that make me enjoy them at least some of the time (including the ones on Tobias' list) but I...
But the actors' contracts will be up and I am sure many (who don't end up dying anyway :P) won't want to stay on as they will have other projects lined up. But I guess they may start telling other stories from Westeros.
