I am ok with them scrapping it. I think it would have been really hard to try and catch people up who haven't read the books. What scares me though is the new canon stuff. I like rebels and the books are fine, but the comics are outrageous. Having Han Solo trying to step on Darth Vader with an AT-AT as canon is nuts. They have been just to over the top for me. The only thing I wish they would do is to continue making new "legends" stories. I loved the old canon and I will most likely like the new stuff as well, but killing off that universe and not making anything new for it makes me sad.

I'm with you, totally. The old canon is what I learned and love. I was quite disappointed when I learned that they won't respect it.

You just missed a fun Tower event, the rebel takeover. We dressed up our avatars as Empire loyalists while the mods were at the IRL Anni event. :)
