Alyria - in this initial setting up, yes. You'd need to let us know which ones you qualify for, and which ones you've got progress on. As things progress, we'll track it more and more, and we'll award them as you earn them. That's our hope, at least.

Ali - only if you served full terms for each.

If you had a presence at the Tower's gatherings at D*Con and JCon, then yes, those count as well. You don't have to have stayed in the Tower block, you just need to have had a presence there.

Aldus - it depends on what you mean by voluntary. Once we start awarding them based upon what we track, then you'll receive them. So once you hit five years as a member, you'll receive the Gold whether or not you alert us to it. People can also nominate others for awards, particularly for things such as the Rock Star. However, it's your choice as to whether or not you choose to display the actual graphical badges. There will probably be a list in the Library of those who have which Merits, though.

I was wondering about that, what positions count as staff time.

If I'm pretty close to qualifying for something now (i.e. a couple months away from a staff merit), should I wait until that time passes, or send you an email now saying the date I'll be qualified? :look:

Also :joy

Jodi - if you're not sure, include it in the email! We'll make a determination. Hall definitely counts as staff.

Stasia - yep, send it in!

I sent two e-mails. The second one is an apology for reading the Group Pride description wrong. Sorry. :embarassed:

I did the same thing! I've decided it's really about...uhm...keeping the minions on their toes! Yes, that's it. :blue

What about Local Events that aren't really hosted by anyone, but involve people meeting at outside places in a city? How many people have to be present for it to count? Does it have to be planned in the forum, or do events that involved Tower members but were not advertised in the forum count?

From my understanding, it qualifies as a local event only if it's planned in that forum. Making it open to everyone and therefore a 'local' event instead of a few friends meeting up. Like... Tree and I have met up ten or fifteen times in the area, but only one of them was a local event because we planned it in that thread. :P
