Yes Rollyn, it is slang for a very specific spot on the human body.
Ohhhhh, um. Yes. Yes, it is slang for a particular anatomical structure. I will let you do a Google or consult Urban Dictionary for more.I've seen people elsewhere referring to understanding why they're not using "the taint" as a term, too. Can anyone explain that to me? Is taint a common slang for something else these days?
In the breakdown with Rafe video, he says that Aes Sedai can't use the Power as a weapon except in the defense of their life, so I think that scene was cut a bit for the trailer and will be fleshed out in the show.On the trailer, I found it curious that in the oaths they don't have Moiraine specifying "except against Shadowspawn." I'm a little worried non-readers may interpret the trailer as showing Moiraine "bravely" breaking her oath in pursuit of her quest when she's throwing fireballs and such. (Yes, WE know the oaths literally can't be broken, but non-readers will assume they're just normal oaths.)
Also, from the breakdown with Rafe Judkins, it appears that they're calling it "the corruption" in the show instead of "the taint", which...okay, yes, I see why they're doing that, lol
Don't feel bad, I only learned it from playing cards against humanity lolGeez, could I feel any older to be this out of the loop on contemporary slang? lol To Google I go.
Someone said it is Eamon Valda ...That one smug ass whitecloak drinking wine is my favorite
I'm hoping there's more to it that just got trimmed for the trailer. Because otherwise, yeahhhhh- Why did they shorten the three oaths and then show Moiraine using the One Power as a weapon?
If we see Gitara Moroso's Foretelling, I will DIE OF JOY.- Are we going to see a condensed version of New Spring or something??
And I want to jump through the screen and strangle that Whitecloak!
We had a bit of a commotion in Yellow chat. It could be one of the Sitters we see in the Hall of the Tower, but otherwise we don't think it's a named character.Who the heck are burning at the stake? It wasn't Egwene, or I would suspect they would hype up the danger of her and Perrin being captured. Maybe it is just from a clip where they explain what Whitecloaks do?
Working theory is that's a funeral b/c everyone but Whites wear white at those. Plus they're upset. Rafe did an exclusive trailer walk-through with IGN (below) and said it was showing how they share emotions through the bond. Why is Lan all in white? Is that from the Aiel war maybe? Neither actor is easy to show as younger people I think...
Rafe referenced the full oath in his walkthrough, so I'm thinking it's just cut off for the trailer to drive us crazy. On the trailer, I found it curious that in the oaths they don't have Moiraine specifying "except against Shadowspawn." I'm a little worried non-readers may interpret the trailer as showing Moiraine "bravely" breaking her oath in pursuit of her quest when she's throwing fireballs and such. (Yes, WE know the oaths literally can't be broken, but non-readers will assume they're just normal oaths.)
I don't see it, but I wasn't able to get a good pause to see it more clearly in still form.Seriously, someone look at 0:50, Nynaeve’s right arm, am I seeing things or is there a faint nod to something there?
is that faint weaves of Saidar woven around her arm????
Watching the Moiraine's Quest teaser, I would think so.- Are we going to see a condensed version of New Spring or something??
