To be fair, Wisconsin had no snow at all save some pretty flurries the Friday evening that didn't even stick through till morning. Otherwise, it was an awesome, sunny, beautiful weekend.

So, this is a bump, yeah. :D

Bumps make me reluctant to move forward with new information. :indifferent:

That said, we're checking into tax issues with each bid.

Are you attending???[/quote:3qpfavl6]
Fingers crossed, I might make this one too. Having said that, it depends on location as it would likely need to be incorporated into a longer vacation with the Lovely Man (who doesn't do cold & wet, we get enough of that here in the UK).

If it weren't for the middle of winter, I'd suggest some place a bit up North. I've never been to northern Michigan, but I imagine it's much the same as it is 6 hours up north in Ontario, on Lake Huron. Crisp blue water, clear, fresh air, and (in the Summer) warm enough to enjoy without being blazingly hot.

:( Alas, I'm still down for a Mitten Anni. I'll bring my snowball gloves :waggle

Well, we'll see what the bids bring us.

I know a number of great places in southeast Michigan for a cabin-camping Anni event. Maybe some of us interested in seeing it there should put our heads together now so we can produce an awesome bid for Anni 2013 when they begin accepting them next time. Hmm?

Also, we did very well by the Easter Seals camp in the Wisconsin Dells in 2010, and there are other places too.

We could have Anni back in the Great Lakes region once again. WHO'S WITH ME??

Awesome!! Elin, how far is Lancashire from London??
Just over 200 miles or so, I think. If you look at a map of the UK, I live about halfway between the top of Scotland and the bottom of England on the west coast and near to the glorious English Lake District (which just happens to be the wettest part of the UK).

Our county is renowned for being cold and damp, incoming clouds rise to go over the hills and dump the rain on Lancashire, which in part explains the rise of the Lancashire Cotton Industry as cotton fibres needed to be kept moist whilst being spun & woven. /history lesson.

You guys understand that February and March are not spring, right?

Depends on where you live. This far south it's most certainly already spring. Just as the Daffodils and the pears.
