Hello everyone in the wonderful world of Tar Valon. I am new here, and thought I would introduce myself in the hopes of gaining some allies. My name is Adelina Darheshi, 27 years old from the wonderful (and at the moment very cold) land of Canada. I figured I would answer the questions from the Visitor post.
What is your favourite character in The Wheel of Time, and why?
-My favourite character, although hard to choose, is Aviendha. She is strong, and she is a fighter, and although the nuances of her culture are often lost in the world, she is compassionate, intelligent and has such a different personality from many of the other characters.
How did you find TarValon.net?
-I met someone tonight while in a random raid in World of Warcraft, and we discovered we have a mutual love of The Wheel of Time. She told me about this place and I wanted to explore it.
What do you do?
-I am an administrative assistant by day, and artist, musician and writer by night. I write literary fiction, mostly short stories. I play the piano, saxophone and steel drums. I paint regularly, mostly watercolour and acrylic. I have two little fur babies who mean the world to me and I cannot function without a cup of coffee.
What is your favourite book or author other than Robert Jordan and The Wheel of Time?
-It's so hard to choose. 80% of my free time is spent reading. I love Patrick Rothfuss and his Kingkiller Chronicles. One of my favourite all time authors is Joseph Boyden (Canadian literary fiction author)
