Everyone's favourite wheel of time books

Hi all,

so i have just finished the dragon reborn and really enjoyed it. Its my favorite of the first three books, and i have just started reading the shadow rising.

Im curious what everyone's top three (or more) of the wheel of time books are peoples favorite?

I am enjoying the series more and more as i go on, and i am just curious if the best is still yet to come!

For me, my top three were Crossroads of Twilight, Knife of Dreams, and Winter's Heart.

I think my favorite is the Eye of the World. I can only get through the first 3 without being reminded of some really unpleasant things, which crosses beyond sqiuck into trigger-land. But anyway. tEotW makes me cry everytime.

I'm still reading the series, so don't have all the books to choose from yet (currently on Crossroads of Twilight), but so far my top 3 are The shadow rising, Lord of Chaos and The great hunt.

I don't really have a favorite, they actually all kind of blur together for me so when people say something like "Oh, I'm halfway through Path of Daggers!" I give them a blank look until they tell me what is going on.

New Spring is my favorite. It explained so much and was a fun diversion from the main series. I enjoyed The Shadow Rising (4) and Path of Daggers (8) quite a bit as well!

I think TSR is my favorite overall. EotW is hard to beat for sheer nostalgia for me, though.

Yeah, EotW gets me in the feels just because I know it's the start of this epic, amazing journey. It's iconic. And those first three books are basically just foreshadowing for everything that comes later.

That being said, I think I echo a few others when I say my favorite is The Shadow Rising.

Though the last book ranks up there, too, mostly for the same reason that the first one does.

TSR and TFoH are favorites, but I also love The Gathering Storm specifically for the one Tower part, which is one of my favorites in the whole series.

Yes, the reason Shadow Raising is on the list is basically those Rhuidean chapters.
I mean, yes, the battle of Emonds Field are also masterfully written, but come on, it can't compete with RHUIDEAN.
