Hey everyone! My name is Jesi and I am excited to start exploring Tar Valon! I've never been a part of a forum before, especially one like this, so this is indeed a brand new adventure for me.
I've done a full read through once and would like to do another one this year, if I can ever whittle down by TBR! I've got the Stormlight Archives to get through and then hopefully at least one Faith Hunter book before JordanCon. I do have all the audiobooks though and I enjoy long bike rides, so maybe that's the way to do it!

- Who is your favorite character in The Wheel of Time and why?
- I'm gonna go with Perrin. His character arc and growth is just fascinating and with my initial readthrough, I really didn't know where RJ was going to take him (or if he was going to be taken anywhere) until it unfolded. And I enjoy unexpectedness in books; it's refreshing.
- How did you find TarValon.Net?
- When I started reading the series, I searched for WoT related pages on Facebook and found this one (in addition to a few others). I started seeing things like "community" and "membership" and finally decided to dive into it deeper.
- What do you do? (student? job? hobbies?)
- I am a wife to a hubs and mom to two awesome kiddos (9yoM and 5yoF).
- I earn a living as an IT Portfolio Manager in Cloud Services at a reinsurance company.
- I really enjoy reading, camping, bicycling outdoors, and playing board games.
- Where are you from? What languages to you speak?
- I am currently in the St. Louis, Missouri, USA area (I moved here from the Ozark area of Missouri) and I speak English, although my husband and I are currently learning Spanish.
- What is your favorite book or author other than Robert Jordan and The Wheel of Time?
- Oh man....this is a hard one! I can't pin it down to just one so I'm going to go with Tolkein, Frank Herbert, Rick Riordan, N.K. Jemisin, the Harry Potter series (not J.K. Rowling), and I have a feeling Brandon Sanderson will soon be on this list (just based on what I've read so far in the Stormlight Archives).
