The trailer managed to get me hyped for S2 so that's fun

I used to be a purist but now I embrace any change that makes it fit the different medium better. I think the Seanchan look great and very other. I really hope ms Moon Maiden, aka Lanfear, will be wearing white tho and that the blue in the trailer is because Selene. I think the actress looks like a good fit. I hope they make the character more interesting than in the books, she had great potential but 🤷‍♀️

I watched the Everyday Negroes reaction video last night and it was hilarious and fun to see their speculation (esp about Lanfear and Elayne) as fans who haven't read the books.

I'm so happy they didn't read the books like others did

I’m glad more people are hyped for Season 2. I really hope that the long amount of time allowed them to put some quality work into the post production aspects of the show that were lacking in Season 1.

WOT Season 2 PSA: go to Prime Video now. Start episode 8, the finale. Fast to the end of the normal episode. They have added a full scene from season 2!! About 3 minutes long. WOT Wednesday came a little early this week.

I sat down and binge'ed watch Season 1 Episodes 1-4. Wow...so good. And was able to pick up on so many more little details (or maybe I just forgot them...

I thought the acting was really good and the dialogue tied to together well, while also bringing out foreshadowing and hints of the larger world (reminded me of the way RJ would write).

Spoiler: TV Show Season 1 Spoilers

Mostly set in Tar Valon. The Valda, Egwene, Perrin whitecloak torture scene was particularly horrific. Really enjoyed the way of the Tower politics and tension was brought out. And the grieving ceremony with Lan was heart-wrenching - who's cutting onions in here! The Ogier costuming is still not my favorite (such a variance from Head Canon); but the actor does such a great job and foreshadows and add so much depth to the story.

It is so much fun to watch them stacked. But I may be ready for Season 2 too SOON!!

• The blood covered woman, any ideas what that's about?
• I'm still not a fan of the gags on the Damane. If that's in place of the collars it'll make it hard for Egwene to do much.
• Glad we're getting the Accepted test, I worried that might be left out.
• The channeling effects look nice. We're starting to get some colors involved.
• The black haired woman with Rand is definitely Lanfear. That makes two confirmed Forsaken so far. Speaking of which...
• Cinna had this thought. With Rand and Logain talking about channeling, do you think they might be planning to have Logain take Asmodean's place as a teacher? I could see it happening, though I don't like the idea. Asmodean is one of the most important and distinct of the Forsaken.
• Ishamael standing at the side of a Seanchan leader? Huh?
• Perrin smiling and being near a young kid is odd, not sure what's going on there.
• Aiel hype! That is all.
• Nynaeve with a sword? Huh? I'm guessing (hoping) that's from her accepted test.
• Rand's BDSM scene sure is something. I'm guessing flickerflickerflicker is involved.
• Actually come to think of it all of the confusing things could theoretically be flickerflickerflicker.
• Rand vs. Turak looks cool, looking forward to that.

Spoiler: My thoughts

I'm pretty sure you're right about Loghain taking the place of Asmodean. I agree it's a shame, but there are too many forsaken and some are going to get cut. Since his role ends in like book 5, he's a logical candidate for cutting. And that's a fairly decent way to expand on Logain, which was always one of the goals. I'm interested to see how they do it.
