With Ubah Sedai moving up to become our new Shatayan, we are in need of a new Director of Administration!
Overview
The Director of Administration is an Executive level position with overall responsibility for the business aspects of our organization, including helping us maintain our 501c7 status . In this position you will work closely with the Amyrlin, Shatayan and Keeper, as well as the other Directors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide advice to the Amyrlin, Shatayan and Keeper
- Compile the annual report
- Facilitating and compiling the annual membership survey and other surveys as required
- Facilitate performance evaluations and exit interviews for staff, administrators, executives and officers
- Maintain our business records; help maintain our 501c7 status
- Handling legal inquiries, including research for allowed types of fundraising at our events
- Provide advice regarding human resources concerns; maintain confidential applicant tracking database
- Managing all other needs of the Department as they arise
Requirements
- Be a senior member in good standing, preferably for at least 1 year.
- Experience in business, human resources or legal fields
- Be willing and able to spend 10 hours a week handling Department issues. This is an estimate. Some weeks are less, some are more, depending on what's happening.
- Be extremely organized.
- Be able to employ tact and diplomacy, even with people you don't necessarily like or respect.
- Able to comfortably and professionally represent our organization to outside groups, such as state regulatory bodies.
- Be a self-starter
* Prior service in this department is a bonus but is not required
