I'm not sure if someone brought this up already, but I just got to thinking about what kinds of religions may be founded based on the actions of Rand and the other main players after the Last Battle.

Masema started something close to a religious group, but was wiped out and The Seanchan have their own traditions based on omens. What other directions may people go with everything the world has experienced in the last two years?

Randland and its inhabitants are not really prone to be "religious" in the sense we know it - meaning a belief in facts, theories and prognoses which are beyond empirical testing. (And may I say, I appreciate Jordan's decision to make it so very much.)
People have indeed a certain framework - in TEOTW it's sometimes even called catechism - about the Creator and the DO, about the pattern and rebirth and salvation, but that's that. Yes, on occasion they also pray, but questioned about that they would perhaps say that prayer just clears the mind (concurring with St. Augustine who argued that God knows what you need anyway). They probably don't think their words effect anything.
There will be stories about Rand, and some will achieve the quality of myth - a story you will have to measure yourself up to - like "they endured such hardships at the Last Battle, how should I complain". Or some person at this forum wrote that she had come to ask herself "What would Egwene do?" Myth translated into the real world. -):
But religion? Well, the Darkfriends may come to develop a religion as we know it - "This is only temporary, the Great Lord will have his day, those that are steadfast will be rewarded, etc," - just because its easier to develop such a theology than accepting that what you put your whole life to has suddenly com to nil.
