-Carridan tells the Darkfriend woman (Shiaine) to set her circle to finding Mat. He’s sending Old Cully as well. He tells her this in blatant disregard of what Sammael told him. Later on the same page he thinks to himself that no one survives disobedience. No one.
-Ebou Dari are strange… Tylin tells Beslan to keep his visit with the widow of the man he just killed brief, worried that Davindra will be one of those widows who wants comforting. And, if that’s the case, he’ll have to either marry her or kill her brothers. How will killing her brothers help the situation? :scratch
I assumed it meant that Beslan would "comfort" her then be expected to marry her, and if he didn't want to marry her then he'd have to fight her brothers who would challenge him to a duel to defend their sister's honor. Aaaah, those Ebou Dari ...
Oh, that makes more sense! But yeah, I'm glad I don't live in Ebou Dar.
Yeah! That was close.I'm working on getting caught up. I just listened to the part where Elaida tasks Seiane with hunting the Black Ajah. I found it interesting that the first person Seiane sees upon leaving her rooms is Talene. Seiane thinks to herself that Talene is a good friend and she's sure she could trust her, but she had already decided to take the safest route and approach Pevara. Little does she know Talene IS Black Ajah.

That’s how I always saw it. You can invert your weaves when you’re tying something off and leaving it, but doing it on the fly is more difficult and I honestly never even considered that it could be done with projectile-like weaves. I always saw it as something you would only do when you were tying off a weave.Mai, maybe it's too complicated for Sammael to do on the fly. He does do it with his traps.
I’ve always wondered this as well. :scratchBack on the topic of Mat and Tylin, when Mat is about to leave he tells Tylin that he's going to miss her, and is surprised to realize that he means it. I wonder what Jordan was trying to do with Mat And Tylin. What was his goal, what was the point? We can discuss the actuality of it all day long but what I really want to know is what the author thought about it. Too bad we can't ask him.
That would have been cool!AcoS : 40
Not a lot here, The concept of the Shaido sending some one to Rhudiean to become a proper clan leader comes up a couple of times (including actually sending someone) I am surprised that it never came back at some point in A Memory of Light, with the New Clan Chief of the Shaido meeting the ones returning to the waste part of the way and bringing them into the forces of the light.
Yeah, it is weird that she didn’t leave shortly after she entered, but I guess after so long in it, it becomes addictive like the dagger did to Mat. You don’t want to leave.AcoS 41
This chapter is a little odd, we are somewhat thrown into the fight between Sammael and Rand, it was nice to see that Liah survived though why she did not go -out- of the spooky dangerous city is beyond me however her getting re-introduced and killed off so quickly makes most of it a bit of a waste of time.
That's interesting! I hadn't noticed the difference in wording there, showing that he won't be the one binding the west to the south. Very cool."The north shall he tie to the east, and the west shall be bound to the south." This does not refer to Rand tying all nations together. "He" only ties the east and the north; someone else does the binding of the west to south. That is, the Seanchan.
:roflSamitsu and Niande unloaded the wagon, turnips simply flying into the air to land in a tidy pile by the roadside. By their icy expressions, this was in no way a use to which they had ever expected to use the One Power.
Seriously. Elayne and Nynaeve both do it, but Elayne at least starts to realize that Mat needs to be told things… especially about his own men!And screw Nynaeve for not telling mat about his men
