Keep in mind that we are accepting bids for either a Conference style party (cabin or other location where the Tower makes the food and entertainment) or a Tourist party (in a location with sights away from our lodging to see and enjoy).
Things to keep in mind when submitting a bid:
- If your bid is selected, you will be an integral part of the planning. By making a bid, you are volunteering to be the local liaison.
- Typical events take place from Friday (afternoon) to Sunday (morning), and can be held virtually at any time of year. We are also looking at events that run Friday afternoon to Monday morning.
- Conference style events are generally held in a campground/bunkhouse type location. The site should have cabin-like living arrangements, kitchen space for meal preps, and spaces for events like sword fighting, tournaments, and other activities. Typical site locations are moderately isolated but we highly encourage easy transportation. We tend to be fairly loud so being 10 feet from a cabin holding a Scout meeting, or a religious conference may not be the best arrangement for either party.
- Tourist events are generally held in a hotel style location and in a location with easily accessible sites to see. Traditionally these have only one catered meal that will also need to be arranged by the Local Liaison.
- Normal Euro attendance is between 15 and 20 people.
