Welcome to the community! And yay for more Scandinavians - another Norwegian here. I was in Sweden just a few weeks ago, on the west coast :D.

Thank you! There seems to be a lot of Norweigans here! :) How did you find Sweden? I bet it was raining the entire time...

Pffle, it never rains on the Best Coast! :p

Sweden was nice, so were the people :D. Of course, I hung out with a pretty international crowd, but the Swedes were awesome as well. And it didn't rain once :P. Wasn't very warm - hovering around 20 C most of the time - but at least there was no rain or extremely excessive wind.

You came at a lucky time, then! In Stockholm at least, the weather's been terrible - around 16 degrees and rain pretty much all of July!

Thanks!

Here's the recipe: http://www.innatthecrossroads.com/2011/04/11/lemon-cakes-part-2/ ! I prefer the Elizabethan ones - though they're very filling! I used to make these and eat while watching the early seasons with my friends. :) We've stopped watching the show, but we still make the cakes!

Those look very, very interesting... :shifty I wish my oven wasn't acting up and being all "I don't care which temperature you set, I do what I waaant!" :grumble

Sofia: In Oslo it's been a bit warmer at least quite a bit of the time, but we've had a lot of rain as well

Your intro title caught my eye.
Welcome fellow Scandi :D
In case you haven't noticed, there's quite a few Swedes and Norwegians around here. No Danes though :scratch
I hope you'll like it here :D

Ugh, classic! Why can't ovens ever behave? My friend's oven is like that too, so she usually comes over to my place when she wants to bake something!:p

Yeah, there seem to be a lot of Norwegians around here! Always nice to see fellow Scandis :D I wonder why there aren't any Danes though? Quite the mystery. I'm sure I'll have a great time here, everyone's been wonderful!

There was one ages ago, but I guess she left :(. It's always seemed really bizarre to me that there are SO MANY Swedes and Norwegians, and no Danes.
