The ending met my expectations because it did catch me offguard. The ending was different from I expected to be, which I enjoyed! It was also nice to read a fantasy series that I was able to feel a sense of closure at the end.
I know many people don't like the ending of Mistborn. I loved it, but can't really remember why. Probably because it - like Arec said - caught me off guard too. Should re-read the series sometime soon.
Ohhhh, I'd love to do a Mistborn reread! I've actually also been meaning to reread Warbreaker cause I don't really remember it very well (I think it was the first Brandon Sanderson book I read, actually).
Well, I just started my Warbreaker reread last night. You're welcome to join me, Deleios. I can't remember how far I got in terms of pages/chapters, though.
And Arec, for the time being I'll be a lot slower than usual. I have a lot on my plate right now, which doesn't leave much room for reading.
How does Warbreaker compare with Way of Kings? Is it a definite must read? I've got soooo many books to read I don't know when I'll ever get them read.
Yep, it's a matter of taste. IMO Sanderson is a good writer, so anything by him is good. I liked Warbreaker but not as much as the other ones (including Elantris )
Just started (well 50% through) Mistborn #1 on my Kindle and really enjoying it so far. Have all his others so far too and looking forward to reading them.
I am currently reading the third book (The hero of ages) and I really like them. The first one was my favorite though so far. I like the style of Brandon Sanderson. I alredy enjoyed it in the Wheel of time books and I will definately go on reading other books of hin. However, I too have a very long list of things I want to read
I just finished re-reading the whole trilogy. The second book really dragged for me, until near the end. The third book was my fave, I frequently got to the point where I didn't want to put it down, which only happened once or twice with book 1 and never with book 2.
